Why BIlly Brown?

Billy Brown isn’t a career politician. He started working in construction at just 13 years old. He began on the tools and spent nearly three decades working his way up from labourer and operator to foreman, supervisor and senior leadership.

Billy knows what it means to work hard, raise a family, run a business and watch more of your pay disappear into power bills, groceries, rates and housing. He’s not standing for Rotorua to build a political career. He’s standing because he’s had enough of watching New Zealand manage decline.

Billy wants to use our resources, build infrastructure, lower power and food costs, create real jobs, restore law and order, and give working New Zealanders a fair chance to get ahead. Less talk. More building. More opportunity.

Building Rotorua for the Future

Rotorua has been taken for granted for too long.

For decades, we’ve bounced between blue and red, yet the cost of living keeps rising, infrastructure falls behind, and too many opportunities leave our region.

We can’t keep voting blue or red and expecting a different result. It’s time to put New Zealanders First.

Last election, Rotorua was decided by just 825 votes. Every vote matters, and Rotorua has a real opportunity to demand something different.

Billy Brown brings nearly three decades of construction experience, starting on the tools at just 13. He understands working families, tradies and businesses because he has lived that life.

Billy will fight for cheaper power, cheaper food, energy security, stronger infrastructure, safer communities and productive jobs right here in our region.

Back Rotorua. Back working New Zealanders. Put New Zealanders First.

LOWER COSTS, FAIRER PRICES

I started working in construction at 13. I know what it means to work hard for every dollar — and I’m sick of watching Rotorua families, tradies and businesses get hammered by power bills and grocery prices.

This isn’t something we should just accept. New Zealand First will take on the supermarket duopoly and the power-company stranglehold that keeps prices high. I’ll fight for cheaper power, cheaper food and more competition, so working New Zealanders can keep more of what they earn. Enough being squeezed. It’s time to put New Zealanders First.

REINVESTING IN ROTORUA

Rotorua is rich in people, resources, geothermal energy and potential. It’s time more of that wealth benefited the people who live here. I’ll fight to bring investment back into our roads, infrastructure, local businesses and productive jobs,  because strong regions build a strong New Zealand.

I want us using our local resources responsibly, creating wealth here and reinvesting a fair share back into the communities that generate it. And I won’t sit quietly when decisions made in Wellington put overseas interests ahead of the people I’m elected to represent.

Rotorua first. Our regions first. New Zealanders First.

SAFER communities

Rotorua families, workers and business owners deserve to feel safe in their own community. New Zealand First stands for stronger law and order, tougher consequences for serious and repeat offenders, stronger action on gangs, and putting victims first. I back that approach. But safer communities also mean dealing properly with the problems that sit underneath disorder — including homelessness, addiction and people being left to drift through the system. We need real consequences where they’re deserved, real support where it’s needed, and a government that stops shifting problems from one street to another. Back victims. Back our police. Restore law and order. Put New Zealanders First.
